  • Minor Skin Infections: Assessment and treatment of uncomplicated skin infections when appropriate.

How Skin Care Works Through Telehealth

Many common skin conditions can be evaluated through video visits and photographs when appropriate. If photos are needed, we will ask you to share them through a secure method. Treatment may include skincare recommendations, prescription medications, and follow-up care.

Some skin concerns require an in-person examination, laboratory testing, a biopsy, or a procedure. This includes changing or suspicious moles, new skin growths, and severe or widespread rashes. If your condition cannot be safely evaluated or treated through telehealth, we will recommend appropriate in-person care or referral to a dermatologist.

When to Seek Urgent or Emergency Care

Seek urgent in-person medical evaluation for rapidly spreading skin redness, particularly when accompanied by fever.

Call 911 for trouble breathing or facial, tongue, or throat swelling that may indicate a severe allergic reaction.

Seek immediate emergency evaluation for a severe blistering rash, especially when accompanied by fever or involving the eyes, mouth, or genitals.

Telehealth appointments are available for eligible patients located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Georgia.
