At Norman Family Medicine, we don't just order tests—we help you understand what your results mean, what happens next, and how they guide your care. Our goal is to make medical information easier to understand so you can make informed decisions about your health.
Our Services Include:
Lab & Blood Work Ordering: We order routine and specialized laboratory tests when medically appropriate and provide instructions for completing testing at an outside laboratory.
Blood Work Interpretation: We review your laboratory results in the context of your medical history, symptoms, and overall health—not just the numbers flagged on your report.
Abnormal Results Explanation: When results fall outside the expected range, we explain their significance, whether additional testing is needed, and the recommended next steps.
Imaging Results Review: We review available X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, and other imaging reports and discuss their findings and potential implications for your care.
Treatment Plans Based on Results: Laboratory and imaging findings help guide treatment decisions, medication adjustments, lifestyle recommendations, and additional evaluations when appropriate.
Follow-Up & Care Coordination: We recommend appropriate follow-up visits, testing, or specialist referrals based on your results and clinical needs.
Second Opinion Review: Have laboratory or imaging results from another healthcare provider? We can review available records, explain the findings, and provide an independent clinical perspective.
Specialist Report Review: We review available specialist reports and help you understand how their recommendations relate to your overall health and treatment plan.
How Testing Works With Telehealth
Laboratory tests and imaging studies may be ordered when clinically appropriate. Testing is completed at an outside laboratory or imaging facility, and results are reviewed as part of your ongoing care. If a result needs prompt attention, we will contact you.
If additional testing, an in-person examination, or specialist evaluation is needed, we will recommend the appropriate next steps.
Testing and imaging facility fees are separate from Norman Family Medicine's visit fees and may be billed directly by the testing facility.
Telehealth appointments are available for eligible patients located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Georgia.
