At Norman Family Medicine, we help you manage your prescriptions, from routine refills to new medications, so staying on track with your medications is one less thing to worry about.
Refills sent to your pharmacy: Routine refill requests are reviewed promptly and, when appropriate, sent directly to your preferred pharmacy. Some medications require a recent visit or lab work before they can be refilled.
New prescriptions: New medications are prescribed when clinically appropriate and sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice.
Medication review and optimization: A thorough look at everything you take to make sure each medication is still working for you.
Cost savings and generic options: We identify generic alternatives and cost-saving strategies to help keep your prescriptions affordable.
Drug interaction checks: Every prescription is reviewed for potential interactions with your other medications.
Side effect management: If a medication isn't sitting right, we'll work with you to adjust it or find a better fit.
Prior authorization support: We assist with medication prior authorization requests when applicable under your pharmacy benefit. Approval is determined by your insurance plan.
Controlled Substances
We do not prescribe controlled substances through telehealth without an initial in-person medical examination with Dr. Norman. This includes controlled stimulants, benzodiazepines, testosterone, controlled sleep medications, and opioids.
Following an in-person examination, prescriptions may be considered when medically appropriate and permitted under applicable federal and state laws. An in-person examination does not guarantee a prescription.
In-person visits are anticipated to begin in December 2026 at our Voorhees, NJ office.
If you currently take a controlled medication, please continue working with your current prescriber until you can be evaluated in person.
Telehealth appointments are available for eligible patients located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Georgia.
